Everyone on IGSendMail sends through shared infrastructure, so one sender's bad list can stop email for every customer. This policy is part of our Terms of Service, and every account agrees to it before sending.
1. Send only to people who asked
You may only email people who asked to get email from you, for example by signing up through a form on your website, opting in when they bought from you, or giving written consent in person. Each person must know they will get email from your business, and you must be able to show how and when they signed up if we ask.
An address you haven't heard from in six months is likely no longer used. Only send to people who signed up, bought from you, or opened or clicked one of your emails in the last six months.
2. Lists you may not use
- Lists you bought, rented, borrowed or were given
- Addresses scraped or harvested from websites, directories or social media
- Co-registration lists, or addresses shared by partners and affiliates
- Addresses added by "appending" email addresses to other customer data
- Lists of people who signed up for something else and did not ask for your email
- Old lists of people you haven't been in touch with in the last six months
Checking that addresses exist (verification) does not make a list allowed. Verification shows a mailbox is real; it does not show that its owner asked to hear from you.
3. Every email says who sent it
IGSendMail adds a footer to every email you send. It names your business and its postal address, tells the reader why they are getting the email, and includes a working unsubscribe link and a link to update preferences. You may not remove or hide it. You must also:
- Send from a domain you own, with the From name your recipients know you by
- Use subject lines that honestly describe the email
- Keep your business name and postal address up to date in your account
- Honour every unsubscribe; IGSendMail removes the address automatically
4. Content you may not send
- Phishing, attempts to collect passwords or payment details under false pretences, or malware
- Misleading claims, fake invoices or impersonation of another person or company
- Anything illegal where you or your recipients are, including illegal goods and services
- Sexually explicit material, hate speech or harassment
5. How we check lists
Before a campaign can go to a list, you tell us how its contacts signed up and confirm that the list meets this policy. Lists of more than 1,000 contacts, and lists from accounts less than 30 days old, are reviewed by our team before their first send. If a list grows a lot after it was checked, we ask again. Campaigns to lists where most addresses have never been verified are held until the list is verified.
6. Bounces, complaints and limits
- Any campaign is paused automatically if more than 5% of its emails bounce, or more than 0.3% are reported as spam, after its first 300 emails
- An account whose last 24 hours cross those limits has all of its sending paused
- New accounts can send up to 2,000 emails a day for their first 30 days; we raise the limit after review
7. What happens if this policy is broken
We may pause campaigns, suspend sending or close the account, with or without notice, to protect our recipients and other customers. Payments are not refunded when an account is suspended or closed for breaking this policy.
8. Report abuse
If you got an email sent through IGSendMail that you didn't ask for, use the unsubscribe link in it and tell us, including the email if you can:
- Email: support at igsendmail dot com
- Address: 100 N Howard St Ste R, Spokane, WA 99201
