    What this page gets you#

This page helps you pick the right plan and change it later. By the end you will know which plan fits the volume you actually send, what happens on the day you upgrade or downgrade, and what to expect if you run out of monthly emails.

    What each plan includes#

    Pro ($49/mo)200,000Unlimited25,0002,000
    Business ($99/mo)500,000Unlimited100,000Unlimited

Every allowance in that table is per billing month and resets when your cycle rolls over. Unused allowance does not carry into the next month.

Choose on send volume, not contact count#

The instinct is to count contacts and find the plan that holds them. On every paid plan that number is unlimited, so it tells you nothing. The number that decides your plan is emails sent per month.

    Work it out like this:

    1. Count the contacts you will actually mail. Not the ones sitting in an archive list you never touch.
    2. Count how many times a month each of them receives something. A weekly newsletter is roughly 4.3 sends per contact per month, not 4.
    3. Multiply. Add anything automated on top: welcome series, abandoned-cart mail, birthday mail, receipts.

A worked example. You have 8,000 subscribers. You send a weekly newsletter, so that is about 34,400 emails a month. A welcome automation adds maybe 400 more. You are at roughly 35,000 and Starter, at 50,000, covers you with room for a resend to non-openers.

Now the same list on a twice-weekly cadence: about 69,000 emails. Starter no longer fits, and Pro does, three times over.

    Leave headroom

Pick the plan that covers your normal month plus roughly 20 percent. Sends cluster around launches and holidays, and the month you most want to mail everyone twice is the month you least want to be blocked.

Free is a real plan, not a trial, but 3,000 emails and 2,500 contacts is a small allowance. It is meant for setting the account up properly, testing your templates, and mailing a genuinely small list.

    Change your plan#

Open the account area and go to billing

Sign in at https://mail.igsendmail.com and open the billing section of your account.

    Pick the plan you want

Choose the new plan and confirm. Nothing you have built is affected. Lists, Segments, Fields, Templates, Automations, Senders and your sending domain settings all stay exactly as they are.

Check your new allowance on the Dashboard

After the change, confirm on Dashboard that the allowance you expected is the allowance you have. If it is not what you expected, stop and contact support before you queue a large send.

    When the change takes effect

An upgrade is the case you care about most, and it is the simple one. You move to the larger plan and the larger allowance applies going forward, so an upgrade is the fastest fix for a month where you have run short.

A downgrade moves you to a smaller allowance. Do the arithmetic before you confirm it: if your normal month is 60,000 emails, dropping to Starter means you stop at 50,000. Downgrade after a busy season has ended, not in the middle of one.

Check the proration before you confirm

Exactly how a mid-cycle change is prorated, credited or invoiced depends on your billing arrangement. The confirmation screen shows what you will be charged. If that figure is not what you expect, do not guess at it, contact support and get it in writing.

If you exceed your monthly email allowance#

Here is the honest version. The monthly allowance is a ceiling, not a soft target that quietly bills you extra. When it is gone, it is gone, and sending stops until one of three things happens:

    • Your billing cycle rolls over and the allowance resets.
    • You buy a sending credit pack, which is drawn on after the plan allowance is used up.
    • You upgrade to a plan with a larger allowance.

The practical risk is a campaign that is larger than what you have left. A 40,000-recipient send with 12,000 emails remaining is not going to complete. Check the remaining allowance on Dashboard before you schedule anything large, rather than finding out from a half-delivered campaign.

Verifications and AI generations work the same way. Each has its own monthly counter, and running out of verifications does not touch your ability to send.

If you need to know exactly how your account behaves at the boundary, for instance whether a campaign already in progress pauses or stops, ask support rather than testing it on a live list.
