Plans and limits

What each plan includes, how monthly allowances reset, how add-on credit packs carry over, and what happens when you hit a limit.

    The plans#

This page gives you the numbers, then explains the three rules that govern them: allowances reset monthly, contacts are unlimited on paid plans, and add-on credits carry over.

    Starter ($19/mo)50,000Unlimited5,000500
    Pro ($49/mo)200,000Unlimited25,0002,000
    Business ($99/mo)500,000Unlimited100,000Unlimited

The features do not change between plans. Email verification, automations, forms and popups, the API and sending domain authentication are on every plan, including Free. What changes is how much of each you get per month.

    Emails, not contacts#

The email allowance counts messages sent, not people stored.

A list of 10,000 contacts mailed once is 10,000 emails. The same list mailed four times in a month is 40,000. A 2,000-person segment mailed weekly is 8,000. Automations draw from the same allowance as campaigns, because they are also emails leaving the platform.

Work out your real number before choosing a plan: list size times sends per month, plus whatever your automations will produce. Most people underestimate the automation half.

Contacts are unlimited on paid plans#

On Starter, Pro and Business there is no contact cap. Keep every subscriber you have ever had. Store contacts who have gone quiet. Nothing about the size of your database changes your bill.

The Free plan is the exception, holding up to 2,500 contacts.

This is worth stating plainly because the opposite model is common elsewhere, and it leads people to delete contacts to control cost. Here, deleting a contact saves nothing. If you do not want to mail someone, exclude them with a segment instead of removing them, and you keep their history.

Allowances reset, and do not carry over#

Each plan allowance is per billing cycle. At the start of a new cycle it resets to the full amount. Anything unused at the end of the previous cycle is gone.

If you send 5,000 emails on a 50,000 plan, next month you have 50,000 again, not 95,000. Plan for your busiest month, not your average one.

Add-on credit packs do carry over#

When you need more than your plan covers, you buy a pack. Packs exist in two kinds:

    • Sending credits: 10,000, 50,000 or 250,000 emails.
    • Verification credits: 5,000, 25,000 or 100,000 addresses.

Unused pack credits carry over into the next billing cycle. They do not expire at the cycle boundary the way plan allowance does, so buying a pack for a one-off large send does not waste whatever you do not use.

Your plan allowance is consumed first. Packs are the reserve underneath it.

    Pack or upgrade

A pack suits an occasional spike, such as a product launch or a seasonal send. If you exceed your allowance two or three cycles in a row, upgrading is the cheaper answer, because the higher allowance arrives every month instead of once.

What happens when you hit a limit#

You run out of email allowance. Sending stops. A campaign that would exceed what remains cannot go out, and automations queued behind it do not send either. You have three ways forward: wait for the cycle to reset, buy a sending credit pack, or move up a plan. A pack or an upgrade takes effect immediately, so this is recoverable within minutes rather than being stuck until the reset.

You run out of verification allowance. Verification stops returning results. Buy a verification pack or wait for the reset. Do not respond by skipping verification on a large imported file, because the bounces cost more than the credits.

You hit the Free plan contact cap. New contacts stop being added, which includes signups coming in from your forms. That is the failure worth watching for, since it is silent from your side and looks to the visitor like the form worked. If you are actively collecting signups on Free, keep an eye on the count as you approach 2,500.

You run out of AI generations. Generation requests stop until the cycle resets or you move up a plan. Business includes unlimited generations.

    Keeping an eye on usage#

Your current usage against this cycle's allowance is in the billing area of your account, next to your plan and invoices. Check it before a large send rather than during one.

Two habits prevent almost every limit surprise:

    • Before any send over about a quarter of your monthly allowance, look at the remaining balance first.
    • At the start of a month with a launch in it, do the arithmetic on total volume and buy the pack in advance.

    Changing plans#

Upgrades take effect immediately, which is why an upgrade is a valid fix for a campaign blocked mid-cycle. Downgrades, invoices, payment methods and cancellation are covered in Plans and upgrades.

If you are on Free and deciding whether to pay: the trigger is usually the 3,000 email ceiling or the 2,500 contact cap, whichever you reach first. A 1,000-person list mailed weekly is already 4,000 emails a month, so a modest list can exceed the Free sending allowance while sitting comfortably inside its contact cap.
